How attending this workshop will benefit you:

Anxiety blights the lives of increasingly large numbers of people. It may initially be focused on realistic concerns – such as financial difficulties, health, job insecurity or unemployment, relationship problems (particularly complex in blended families) and fears about the future in an increasingly uncertain world – but then spiral out of control.

Or it may have no clear cause and manifest as an ever-present feeling of being ‘wired’, tense or vulnerable, very often accompanied by out-of-control thoughts.

This highly practical workshop focuses on skills and strategies, drawn from a number of brain-based therapies and backed by neuro-science,that you can use to help your clients to regain control over their anxiety and stress levels.  During the workshop you will have opportunities to practise the new skills and techniques yourself.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop you will: 

  • Discuss anxiety and stress in ways that are easy for your clients to understand
  • Support your client in taking agency for change and seeing a range of possible avenues for change
  • Empower your clients and equip them with a range of effective, easy to use tools and techniques to rewire the anxious brain

Who Should Attend?

The workshop has been developed for counsellors, life coaches, business / success coaches, health care and social-service professionals who work with, or treat, people who may be suffering with anxiety.

The day offers the chance to gain life skills that can benefit anyone who experiences anxiety or stress, including us, as professionals!


Workshop Programme

The ‘Tools For Your Anxiety Toolkit’ workshop starts at 9.30am and runs until 4.30pm.

The day’s agenda

Registration: 9.15 to 9.25 (Tea or coffee available until 9.25)

9.30 am – Preparing your client for change

10.45 am – Break for tea/coffee

11.05 am – Unpacking anxiety

12.30 pm – Lunch (included)

1.15 pm – Easy to learn techniques to manage threatening thoughts and feelings

2:45 pm – Break for tea/coffee

3:05 pm – Easy to learn techniques to cope with anxiety symptoms

4.30 pm – Day ends


Your Workshop Facilitators

Angela Baker is a counselling psychologist and wellbeing coach.  She is the developer of 3 on-line courses ‘Mindfulness for Everyday Life’, ‘The De-frag Action Plan’ and ‘The Upward Spiral Action Plan’.

Tony Yuile is a performance and wellbeing coach and clinical hypnotherapist.  He is author of the book ‘7 Ways to Reduce Anxiety in 7 Minutes or Less’.

Both Angela and Tony are trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (N.L.P.) and have experience and a strong interest in a range of brain-based therapies.
